A success story

Meet Justin Nshimiyimana

We first met Justin Nshimiyimana in Kigali in December 2022 while he was studying tourism at the Rwanda Tourism Institute. From the moment we met him, Justin stood out as an exceptional young man with a kind heart, remarkable determination, and an unwavering passion for learning.

Justin lost his mother during the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi and was raised by relatives in Rwanda’s Musanze District, home to Volcanoes National Park. Growing up in this region fostered a deep appreciation for Rwanda’s history, culture, wildlife, and natural beauty, inspiring him to pursue a career in tourism.

During our visit to Rwanda, Justin served as our guide, creating unforgettable experiences through his extensive knowledge, professionalism, and genuine care for every guest. As we got to know him better, we also learned about the sacrifices he made to pursue his education—often working tirelessly and even skipping meals to afford textbooks and school fees.

Inspired by Justin’s perseverance and character, Yooo! Rwanda Foundation was honored to fully fund his remaining school fees, helping him complete his education and continue building the future he envisioned.

Today, Justin’s tourism company, Real Life Safaris, continues to grow, offering exceptional travel experiences throughout Rwanda, Uganda, and Tanzania. We are incredibly proud of all he has accomplished. Beyond building a successful business, Justin is committed to giving back by mentoring and employing interns, creating opportunities for the next generation of tourism professionals.
